Babson Hosts Wearables Hackathon February 24, 2017

The BabsonFashion Entrepreneurial Initiativeand the IoT Initiative at Babson College are hosting theWearables Hackathonon Friday, February 24, 2017, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in theButler Venture Acceleratorat theArthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurshipat Babson College.

Wearables Hackathon

Students will use wearable technology to experiment with creating new products. Faculty membersCaroline Danielsof theEntrepreneurshipfaculty andRuben Manchafrom the Technology, Operations, and Information Management (TOIM) faculty will lead the event, which will feature a Design Thinking Session withTOIMProfessorVictor Seidel.

Student teams will compete throughout the day to see which one can create the most effective and creative wearable.

  • Interact with wearables devices.

Technology for the event has been provided by the Benson Student Technology Fund.
