Being Present
"Do you know how rare it is to see a group of people so intently present and attentive to what's important to them?" So said co-founder and CEO ofSir Kensington'sScott Norton in an email to me about his experience participating in last month's sixth金博宝Babson Food Day.
As I wrote earlier this fall in theBoston Globe,I believe that psychologically and culturally,people are grappling with a growing hunger and need for human interaction.There is a new premium on being with other people – in person.
Focus on this idea is at the heart of what makes 金博宝Babson Food Day so special.People from all walks of food travel to 金博宝Babson to fully invest themselves in contributing to students' and one another's dreams and visions.Experts,students,entrepreneurs,faculty,staff and members of the surrounding community gather to break bread and brainstorm.
Last month's 金博宝Babson Food Day was full of joy,creativity,generosity,inspiration and brilliance.Over six years,the culture of this annual event has grown.Attendees understand how to participate and what to expect and have brought others along,growing the collective energy.Thank you for what we have created,and continue to create together.
